The Shop Sustainable team includes a small group of ocean and nature enthusiasts. They have degrees and qualifications in marine and chemical and environmental sciences and environmental resource management.

Shop Sustainable is a one stop shop of environmentally friendly products. All items are either made from recycled materials, eco-friendly or are responsibly sourced. 

All products sold at Shop Sustainable are sourced from vetted companies that ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Our very own Environmental Scientists have hand selected all items sold at Shop Sustainable.

Shop Sustainable is on a mission to show the world that environmentally friendly, recycled, non-toxic or chemical free products can be used for most purposes instead of traditional toxic and poorly sourced materials.

Water is a finite resource. It seems as if there is plenty of water on Earth, however only a small percentage is clean and useable.

Here are some 'water' facts you may not have known about:

  • Water covers ~70% of the Earth's surface;
  • There is 326 million cubic miles of water on the planet;
  • 97 % of the total water on Earth is in the oceans;
  • Only 3 % of the Earth's water is fresh water;
  • 2.5 % of that fresh water is non-usable. It is locked up in glaciers, ice caps, the atmosphere, soil or deep under earth crust; and
  • 0.5 % of the Earth's total water is available as fresh water.

When you look at these figures it becomes clear that minimal fresh water is left for the survival of Earth's terrestrial living organisms (including humans). Let's stop contaminating precious water sources. Make the switch to "chemical free" today!
